As you know if you’ve already worked as a caregiver, caregiving can be a demanding job that requires compassion and patience. It’s one of the most important jobs in society, and here at North River Home Care we treat our caregivers accordingly. We take care of our caregivers the way we want them to take care of our clients.
Our on call aides are guaranteed 40 hours per week, plus auto expense allowance, 2 weeks of PTO, health insurance, and 401k with match..
Responsibilities:
- Helping clients, typically seniors or people with disabilities, live a rewarding daily life.
- Assisting clients with basic daily tasks, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, hygiene, and errands.
- Being a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion.
- Being attentive to clients’ needs and alerting necessary parties if there is a safety or health risk.
What you need to be successful:
- The ability to work from 8a to 8p five days per week (including Saturday and Sunday).
- Experience as a caregiver.
- Physical ability to complete the demands of the job.
- Dependability and integrity.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn quickly.
- Compassion for and interest in people from all walks of life.
Job Details:
- You are available to work from 8a-8p, 5 days per week including both weekend days.
- You will be filling in for shifts we can't staff with our team, including for call outs and new case starts.
- Your 5 available days will always be the same, but you will rarely have a set schedule week to week, or even day to day.
- You will absolutely be available to leave home immediately if we call you on one of your 5 available days.
- You will be ok not working at all some of the days you're assigned for duty, as we won't have call outs or new case starts.
- You will be paid for 40 hours per week, even if you only work 10 hours, 20 hours, etc. for the week. Regradless of what you actually work, you will be paid a minimum of 40 hours.
- You will be paid overtime if you work more than 40 hours in a week.
- You will receive a car allowance as part of your overall compensation.
